'Pat's Petition' against the Welfare Reform Bill

As you may be aware, the Government's Welfare Reform Bill has been progressing through Parliament in recent weeks.

DIAL, along with many other groups representing disabled people, have serious concerns about this Bill and its potential impact on disabled people who rely on disability and welfare benefits to live.

As a response an e-petition has been set up at the Direct.gov website. This is a site that allows members of the public to petition Parliament on any issue. Once a petition reaches 100,000 signatures it is eligible for debate in the House of Commons. So, if enough people sign this petition it could have an impact on the Governments approach to the Welfare Reform Bill.
